Meet the Team Behind Birdie's
Laurie
Owner & Founder
I've been an esthetician for almost 18 years, originally licensed in Portland, Oregon, and now holding esthetic licenses in four states. My journey has taken me from Las Vegas, Nevada, to New York, New York, and Boston, Massachusetts, where I've honed my skills and learned new modalities in each unique area. Now, I'm excited to bring everything I've learned together as I open my own spa.
I've always dreamed of living in Central Oregon. We even planned our wedding at Five Pine Lodge in Sisters, Oregon, while living in Boston. As a frequent visitor for Hunter Jumper horse shows or just a quick weekend of hiking and enjoying great beer, Central Oregon has always felt like home.
Birdie's holds a very special meaning for me. Not only is it my daughter's middle name and my mother's nickname, but it also honors my great-grandmother's love for birds. Plus, my husband, an avid golfer, was thrilled when our daughter Joie Birdie was born during Masters weekend. So, Birdie's was born from dreams, passion, and love.

Hello, I’m Ashley the Spa Manager! I have a passion for clean beauty and holistic wellness. I love supporting the flock (our team at Birdie’s), chatting with clients and sipping matcha’s. I have a background in holistic health and management, which really drives my heart for connecting the internal and external needs of the skin here at the spa. Nothing fills my cup more than getting to nurture those closest to me, which makes getting to come alongside the Birdie’s team to fulfill their mission is such an honor.
Shelly
Skincare Specialist
Shelly is a passionate skincare specialist and has been a licensed esthetician for 5 years. Within the skin care field, Shelly has experience building and running her own esthetics business, specializing in targeted skin care facial treatments, has done teaching and training as a brand representative for a professional makeup line, makeup and lash artistry, as well as classroom esthetics teaching at a local beauty school. Shelly loves helping women of all ages feel and look their best, helping to guide them towards personalized spa treatments or home care regimens that are best suited for their skin. Her warm and friendly personality will welcome you into the spa, putting you at ease knowing you will receive the best service possible. Shelly has lived in Central Oregon for almost 20 years, and enjoys life here with her husband and 3 kids.

Meet our Nurse Jenna! Born and raised on a cattle ranch in Redmond, Oregon, Jenna has a special place in her heart for giving back to this community. A nurse since 2018 and in the healthcare field since 2010, she has specialized in mental health. Beginning in memory care, then to the state psych hospital, family care, skilled nursing and now aesthetics. She has a passion for helping people to remember how to love themselves from the inside out. She believes in a root cause approach in targeting skincare concerns and returning to the basics first. All the rest is just for fun :)

Greetings! It all started 2 years ago now, when my hormonal fluctuations began. Awful, painful acne arose on a face which took isotretinoin to fix. During this time, I met Laurie (thanks Idi) who then enlightened me on all things skin and soon began my own personal holistic journey to heal my skin, body, and me. Fast forward to now, I am a receptionist here at Birdies and currently enrolled in aesthetician school to soon obtain my aesthetics license. After passing my state boards, my days will be spent alongside Laurie learning every bit of knowledge she has to offer.
